Bank of Israel announces 20-new and 100-new shekel notes to be issued 2017

Leading up to the entry into circulation of the new NIS 20 and NIS 100 banknotes, the Bank of Israel is progressing in the preparations necessary for completing the replacement of the series. It is worth noting that since the issue of the new NIS 200 banknote in December 2015, more than half of the banknotes of that denomination have been replaced, as planned.
The Bank of Israel will soon publish additional details regarding the launch date of the two remaining denominations, the security features embedded in them, and timetables for the replacement of existing banknotes with new banknotes at commercial banks and at the Bank of Israel.
