Kazakhstan issues 10,000 tenge bill featuring Nursultan Nazarbayev’s image

Kazakhstan’s central bank unveiled a new banknote on Tuesday, Nov 15 featuring the portrait of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
“All Kazakhstan’s achievements since independence are inextricably linked to the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev,” national bank chairman Daniyar Akishev told a news conference in the capital Astana.
The 10,000 tenge bill will enter circulation from December 1 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the former Soviet republic’s independence, the central bank said.
