The Bank of Russia Board of Directors approved the design of 200 and 2000 ruble banknotes.
The 200 ruble banknote will feature the symbols of Sevastopol – the Monument to the Sunken Ships and the view of Chersonesus, and the 2000 ruble banknote will bear images of famous Far Eastern sites – the bridge to Russky Island and the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur Region.
The Bank of Russia Board of Directors relied on the results of the all-Russian contest to select symbols for the new banknotes to be put in circulation in late 2017.
