In this way, laser marking significantly expands the technical scope for banknote design. On the one hand, color-shifting effects can be integrated more easily, and even customized. On the other, see-through effects can be incorporated (or embedded) into existing features with greater ease. Finally, almost any design or position of banknote numbers is possible, and they can be printed on the front and back of the note in a single pass. | |
