Thailand issued new commemorative 100-baht note

The new 100-baht commemorative banknotes marking the 5th cycle birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn are in circulation on April 2, the princess’s birthday.
Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Mr Prasarn Trairatvorakul, said the issuance of the commemorative banknotes is to pay tribute to the princess for her incomparable contributions to the country.
The banknote is red and measures 72 x 150 mm.
Front: The portrait of King Rama IX in the Royal House of Chakri gown.
Back: The portrait of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn as the main image, the scene of royal duties of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej together with Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and HRH Princess. Other elements are the Royal emblem of the Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 2nd April 2015, Magnolia Sirindhorniae Noot & Chalermglin and Exacum affine Balf.f.
