The Bulgarian National Bank puts into circulation a new banknote of BGN 20 denomination, issue 2020

The Bulgarian National Bank puts into circulation the third banknote of the new series, which is of BGN 20 denomination, issue 2020. The banknote will get into circulation as legal tender from 20 March 2020. Тhe overall design and the main elements of the new banknote series feature no significant changes as compared with the banknotes already in circulation. These changes are related to the introduction of new security features.

The BGN 20 banknotes, issues 1999 and 2007, as well as the commemorative banknote of BGN 20 denomination, issue 2005, remain in circulation along with the BGN 20 banknotes, issue 2020.
